 Wakan
Tool for students of Japanese or Chinese. PC based program (MsWindows only sorry, no Mac or Linux). It features a character dictionary, word dictionary, and learning tools: vocabulary management, printing to flashcards, vocabulary lists, text including furigana). The Japanese dictionaries seem more developed than the chinese ones. The tool can be extended with additional databases which give potential for future development.

One of the veterans of Computerization of Asian languages offers word-processors and pop-up annotation utilities. Demo-version is free, fr the full version you will need to pay. (Its original function as a character input-system is prety much obsolete now that there are so many other options)

Content is pretty good. But despite many encoding choices, the interface is a bit primitive
